Expansion joint repairs by injection for sealing expansion joints in surface and subsurface constructions
Expansion joints have the important task of absorbing forces resulting from natural structural movement thus preventing cracks and large-scale damage occurring. They should therefore be checked regularly and in the event of damage resealed immediately. We would be delighted to undertake the professional repair of the expansion joints on your building.
As is the case with joint sealing the injection method is also used for repairing expansion joints. With regard to water-bearing expansion joints the positioning of the expansion joint water bars determines how the injection channel should be drilled. For external water bars the joint is bored in the middle, by internal ones the injection channel is created below the waterbar. In both versions, the expansion joint is filled with grout from behind the defective waterbar and is permanently sealed as a result.
